WINTER Hiking the COLD FROZEN Mississippi River (FRONTENAC STATE PARK)

We go to my favorite spot on Lake Pepin located on the Mississippi River and do some winter hiking in the woods on the Sand Point AKA Long Point trail which is part of Frontenac State Park. Hiking in the snow makes this adventure cold yet the sunshine keeps me warm! It was a great day to get outdoors in the winter.

Hey, Randi! Love this video. Is there an email address I can reach you at? I’m making a documentary that takes place on the MS River and have a question. Thanks! -Andy

Very nice! One of my favourite winter hikes! In the summer though, the mosquitos can carry one away in the wooded part of the trail. Did you see any robins? There is a flock there winters there.

Buurrrr. That looks cold. I was waiting to see you start a fire with all those downed trees. On the up side you had the place to yourself. Please be careful on the ice, don’t fall in or slip. I like the red Jeep, we have an 03 Rubicon. Good day to keep the doors and to on. Thanks making your videos, I’m putting these places on my list.
