SOLO BUSHCRAFT CAMP 4 Items Only -Natural Shelter- Wild Game Over the Fire

#bushcraft #joerobinet #wintercamping
Join me on a Solo bushcraft camp.
On this trip I choose 4 items of camping gear to take with me winter camping.
I build a natural shelter, and cook wild game over the fire.
This was a fun test of my winter camping skills, and a fun bushcraft overnighter.

Who’s with me watching his videos on bed until we fall asleep ?

  7. Lockpickleif on December 4, 2019 at 5:40 pm

Awesome video bro! Don’t think I’ll spend the night but I’m gonna set up a small shelter to stay warm when I go out target shooting

  8. Lockpickleif on December 4, 2019 at 5:45 pm

This is weirdly like watching myself.

  9. Brock Smith on December 4, 2019 at 5:45 pm

Why doesn’t he light a fire first? It can help dry stuff while he works and he can stop to warm up every so often..

  10. Geoffy Geoff on December 4, 2019 at 5:46 pm

What is the reason for breaking down the shelter?

Well it may be a good shelter but not when the tree falls on you middle of night lolllll

What gloves where you using in this video. I’m looking for a solid pair of waterproof leather gloves. If you could respond that would be fantastic!!

Have you ever wondered why giraffes are giraffes?

I’m one of your subscribers. I only watch 3 or 5 or so channels of this survival stuff, and you are probably the one that I watch the most. I like your personality, your extreme competency, and the kind of material that you normally produce. So when I make the comments below, I really hope that you don’t take offense because I am really trying to NOT be a troll. TOPIC — <<snow falls down neck>>”Oh! I should have waited to take my coat off…” Well, you big goober, you’ve got a hood. I saw you shake it off several times. GOOD GRIEF!!! WHY didn’t you just pull your hood up while shaking snow off of the trees onto your head? <<sad shake of head>> TOPIC— whenever you carry an axe or a hatchet, the sheath should have a pocket in order to include a round sharpening puck so you can maintain it! Isn’t part of the point of all the survival stuff to "be prepared"? The Boy Scout motto is, after all, BE PREPARED! TOPIC— I never, never, never, never, never go ANYWHERE without a knife. You have intentionally put together a backpack with only four items. Why would you NOT have a knife?!<<sad shake of head>> TOPIC— your life may very well depend on your ability to create a fire. Quickly. If watching you trying to build a fire had not been so painful, it would have been a comedy. That dern firesteel was WAY too small. It should either be MUCH bigger, and/or you should have it glued to a stick that is long enough to act as a handle … so that you can use the entire length of it to produce sparks … so that you do not have to use any part of it as a handhold … it should be long enough to be CONVENIENT, so that you can EASILY produce enough sparks to EASILY create a fire. In my opinion, the BEST fire Steel to use would be 6 in Long, and glued to the bottom of a “Y” shaped piece of wood so that I could use the top of the “Y” as a handle. I think that you are doing your Watchers/Subscribers a disservice by not telling this to them Joe. Just tryin’ ta b yore frend’ …. TOPIC— if you find any part of this offensive, or you should really disagree with any part of it, then reply to let me know and I will remove this comment.

Good job on the fire man! I didn’t think you were gonna get er going. I’ve never been able to start one with a flint. Even using a lighter the biggest thing I’ve learned is prep, cause once you get the fire going you damn well better have enough wood to keep it going!

Do you leave all the camps you build? That if someone came across it, they could use it? Just wondered about that. This camp looks like something a female could build if she needed overnight survival. That’s what I like about a lot of your videos….females need to learn these ways!!! Thank you.

  43. jacob fuhriman on December 4, 2019 at 6:29 pm

I like all the new content but dang I miss these old bushcraft videos. They are really what got me into the channel. Bushcraft videos get the insta watch, canoe trips can sit for a few weeks before they get watched.
