In this episode I paddle 20 miles down one of the most beautiful stretches of the Mississippi: Pool 9 in NW Iowa. I put in at Victory, Wisconsin and travel through Winneshiek Slough and Lake Winneshiek and then take out at Cold Springs Landing.

I live 15 minute’s from Victory and you’re kayaking my home water’s. You passed so many good spots on that trip that you should have had a fishing pole for. I know what you mean about the winds and weird current’s too. I love that stretch of water you were in, I do 80% of my freezer filling on it. I eat fish all the time, along with all those Mississippi valley deer.
