BLUE LAKES COLORADO – EPIC CAMPING

Trip to Blue Lakes, Colorado (near Telluride) during monsoon season! The weather made for quite an adventure.
Camped overnight with an amazing view overlooking the main Blue Lake. Some of the most beautiful hiking and camping I’ve experienced.

Hiked Lower Blue Lake several years ago. It is literally my happy place. When I need to really focus on something nice, like a meditation, I imagine myself sitting along the base of the peninsula of scree, with my feet in the lake…………………………Love this video.

Hey man I had a couple questions I wanted to ask about this hike do you have a way I could private message you?

  4. Betty VanDyke on December 4, 2019 at 5:33 pm

When hiking that area did you have to climb the mountain with climbing gear or was it just steep hikes?

Question, because I intend to visit one day (perhaps next year) the wild west: do somebody knows if it’s allowed to swim naked in the rivers and lakes and to hike naked? Thanks.

    how heavy was your backpack?

  8. Mr. Hernandez on December 4, 2019 at 5:36 pm

Sweet and sour chicken inbred. Not all fowl have offspring with their immediate family, so the answer to your question is no. Yes, that’s a joke.

Nice video , I’ve climbed up mount sneffels in August 2012 I believe … camped out near Wheeler lake I think and we could see blue lakes from the summit of sneffels …. for sure it’s the most beautiful place I’ve been to.

But Ice Lake Basin I think might beat it … which is only a few valleys further south then blue lakes .

Great video and thanks for living life and exploring

One day Ill be brave and prepared enought to do this. My last solo trip to colorado was a failure. I was unprepared and more than anything what really affected me was the altitude. It hit me terribly, I felt so sick it was scary.

Not judging, but when I saw you with a smoke I felt bad for you. I know you’re young and you may think you’re invincible. But I’m here to ask you to quit now before it’s too late. I’m a veteran smoker of 35 years. After I decided to quit again in 2018 I was told I have emphysema. I can’t enjoy photography and hiking as I once did because the capacity of my lungs restricts me from getting enough oxygen. I’m sitting here at my desktop trying to catch my breath (fill my lungs with oxygen) and hoping you and anyone reading this will heed my plea, and quit. I’m 57 yo and I know I won’t see my grandson graduate high school. I have a lot to say, but won’t overstay my welcome. Peace

I plan to do this hike during my Colorado trip in September but do you have an address for the starting where you can leave your car? And how many hours would you say the hike took?
