A Deer Hunting Adventure

Highlights of a DIY whitetail & mule deer hunting adventure in Montana. Armed with a wall tent and rifles, we headed off to the mountains seeking whitetails, but wouldn’t pass up a giant mule deer if the opportunity were presented.

Cameras used: Gopro hero 3, and an inexpensive panasonic hand held (for the zoom).

Thanks for watching!

Dude….That aint hunting, youre literally walking up to the deer. Come to Mississippi where a deer 300 yards away runs becuase they hear your truck or see you…this is the same as Oklahoma where you can kill a deer by hitting it with a stick from 10 feet away..this is basicly shooting fish in a barrel

  5. Trevor Olsen on December 4, 2019 at 5:39 pm

What pair of shooting sticks were those at 11:23?

  6. Quack Smack on December 4, 2019 at 5:39 pm

  8. montanadoctor on December 4, 2019 at 5:41 pm

Small bucks, compared to most Montana bucks.

  9. David the old fart on December 4, 2019 at 5:42 pm

I know everyone is out for trophies but think about if we keep killing the biggest buck we can find they’re going to get smaller over the years

Nice deer gents, especially like the ruger #1 your man was using. Good hunting

all the people who r posting hate comments how do u think Indians survived huh. they didn’t have a grocery store a mile away they had to hunt their own food which I can say is healthier than getting processed meat and all the meat u buy people killed. the animals were murdered so either way the animals we eat die somehow

  14. Jace Peters on December 4, 2019 at 5:51 pm

How did one guy shoot two bucks?

  15. UpsettingCobra9 on December 4, 2019 at 5:52 pm

Fun fact: Did you know that if we never killed animals w would almost be 100% dead. If you don’t like this stuff then why did you even click and watch this video. This comment is for people who complain about "gross" stuff.

Nothing wrong with hunting but they need to have a little more respect and realize its not about the rack its about the meat

  23. Jade Guin on December 4, 2019 at 6:01 pm

  29. Jody Durant on December 4, 2019 at 6:07 pm

Great video! Amazing country, lots of animals and it seems like having fun was a priority, which is always a factor on our deer adventures. I also respect anyone hunting with a falling block rifle and a Ruger #1 for sure. Single shots require confidence and practice. Good stuff.

Wow. Hunting made easy when deer are everywhere.

  36. tylerc222 on December 4, 2019 at 6:14 pm

Great video, a little bummed the kill shots weren’t on camera, but hey whatever. Also, i’m curious to where you are because none of the deer are spooky. Which is extremely weird, especially in Montana on "public land" lol.

  39. Austin Kassner on December 4, 2019 at 6:17 pm

Hard for me to watch you pass up on all those deer. I’m lucky to see one buck of any size when I go hunting.

  40. montanadoctor on December 4, 2019 at 6:17 pm

These hunters need to at least TRY to conceal themselves! Camo won’t make you invisible!

  47. Pnwsportsman on December 4, 2019 at 6:23 pm

Is the 6.5 a viable deer and elk cartridge? I’ve got a .308 but have been itching to buy a 6.5 for some of the clear cut areas I hunt here in Washington.

  48. uvcoach42 on December 4, 2019 at 6:29 pm

Wow everything is right about this, thanks for sharing! Is this public land? Those deer aren’t pressured that’s for sure. Thanks
