Dunn’s Falls Mississippi with Old Gristmill

Just outside of Meridian Mississippi is a place called Dunn’s Falls which is a 65-foot man-made waterfall made in the mid 1800s for powering a gristmill and cotton mill. There is also an old gristmill there with all kinds of old stuff inside!

I just got back from Dunn’s falls. It was so beautiful. They actually fixed the walk over with concrete. I didn’t go down to the waterfall but I plan to next time.

Beautiful place, brother. I was so nervous about those old dry-rotted boards as you strolled along – even though I knew you would be fine since I was watching this video. LOL! Be safe and be blessed, sweetie!

I love checking out these places outside of my hometown. What’s the last interesting place you’ve gone to outside of your hometown?

So awesome. I’m glad to see you’re always careful deej. We have a gristmill about 40 min away that was built in 1849. It’s beautiful. And has walking trails. I need to go back and visit. Great vlog! 😎

At 2:53 that’s called a ‘sluice’ – there’ll be a sluice gate above it so that water can be diverted to the wheel

Wow! That place is a treasure! You were brave! That wood looked sketchy to say the least! LOL! what happened at 7:54? Yellowjackets? Glad you didn’t get stung! What a great place! I’m impressed that people haven’t vandalized it . TY for sharing! That was beautiful! (I know going down was a breeze, but how was it coming back up those 5,000 steps?) Lol!
