C-Map VS. Navionics Ultimate Fishing Map Comparison
C-Map VS. Navionics Ultimate Fishing Map Comparison
We put fishing maps to the test reviewing the standard Navionics chip VS the NEW C-Map from Lowrance and the difference is insane. Wait till you see the one to one comparison of these two maps and you tell me which one you want when fishing for bass in Florida?

Hey Mikey do you use the fc reaction florocarbon from sunline?
This seems like a just a plug for C-Map. I was hoping for an unbiased features comparison. Also Navionics has 1 ft countours and live sonar charting. Navionics will also community update it’s lake maps. This video didn’t really tell me which one to use and why. Navionics has the same features that you guys are bragging up C-Map with. The map you originally showed of Navionics could have been zoomed out or you guys might have had the settings changed to not ahow 1 ft contours. Then when you switched to C-Map you had the map settings set to show everything. Not impressed.
What a bullshit video.
Man I do a ton of deep fishing I would looooove to check them out. Awesome stuff MB!
Does cmap cover near coastal waters in addition to lakes? I like to fish tampa bay and the beaches for tarpon.
How much are they
looks very interesting, does this take the place of a navi card and replace the use of the navi card or do I need a navi card and this c map card to access the c map detailed graphs? I’m looking at buying a lowrance elite ti OR HDS Gen 3 depending how money is this winter for next season and wouldn’t mind having this c map detail !!
My Navionics card is 3 times more detailed than the one in this video. The Navionics in this video looks like a regular map.
dang u gave up info
Do a how to read electronics
This is misleading as they either used an obscure lake Navionics doesn’t have covered in HD or they had the contour interval set low on the Navionics. Doesn’t speak well for their product. No dog in the hunt here, just this stuff is confusing enough with out the sham comparison.
I got news for you even those same maps don’t have all the bottom an remember the botton too is moveing
there is a lot of c-map cards out there. pro, hd.ect. whats the best for lake fishing. what does hd give you that’s dfferent then pro?
How do you find out what lakes are covered before you buy a chip??
💯💪👊LET’S GO!!! I been fishin my whole life i know alot about fishin!!! But when i dont know something i wanna learn from u!!! Stay on top
Buy a Lowrance make your own Maps…. It has increased my offshore catch rate exponentially!!!…. If you use social Maps from C Maps they’re not near as accurate….. You can make your own and not make them public domain and it will make a world of difference…. Pick some favorite Lakes pay 24.99 a month…. Record sonar… Upload sonar download the map… It’s as easy as getting KFC chicken!!!… It’s taken me two months to map out three lakes…. You’re not going to buy highly detailed maps for 75 bucks… We’re talking vegetation, contour lines and bottom composition…. You won’t find that shit at Walmart!
I picked up a Simrad Go7 with c maps. It has nothing for the 3 lakes I hit the most. Cave run lake, Herrington lake, such in Kentucky. My Navionics app on the other hand has all the lakes I fish plus the intercostal when I vacation.
"inticrit"
2:25 Make sure you toggle between SonarCharts in every situation (the option for this is obfuscated in Lowrance’s menus under "Fish n Chip")
yeah i think its BS as well your not comparing oranges with oranges navionics has , well used to be called fish and chips , forget what its called that has the detailed contour lines , not an honest compares . i just purchased a card , was told it had hyperbathermetric it doesn’t hard to get someone that knows what card to have , like the idea of genesis oh too hard ive only had the card 3 days and just found out its a preceded version as well , not a good start
thats not a fair comparison as avionics has sonar chart same deal
I must need this chip bad cuz I haven’t been doing well at all on that lake Mikey bro! Will look up more details on it.
How is c-map in comparison to navionics platinum?
Needed this vid good job
That’s unreal man – it’s crazy how good mapping can change the game. Kinda kills the buzz on those sneaky hidey-holes we find when the map comes out and the juice is unleashed though!
I’ll tell you what’s BS. I have always used Navionics Platium Plus and loved the mapping detail BUT, the detail comes from SonarChart Live. This only lasts for 12 months and you have to update online at a cost whilst Navionics takes your contour data and uses it for future map sals – YES your mapping of favourite fishing spots will be public in a flash( read website fine print). Lowrance has just "aligned" themselves with C-Map (see software updates 18.2 for lowrance units 24th Aug 2018 on their website) which opens up the feature Genesis Live. This is free and kepted on your Micro card – no website updates and NO DATA DOWNLOADS. This feature is identical to Navionics SonarChart Live. I know which card I’m changing too…BTW you can use a blank micro with Genesis Live but it’s better with C-Map. Does not work with Navionics. Regards
This is definitely a BS comparison. I have an ancient Navionics+ card that has just as many if not more contour lines than what was shown on the C-Map in this video. It just depends on your zoom level and what you have your HDS detail settings at. I’m currently trying to decide which company to go with for 3D mapping, Navionics Platinum Plus or C-Map Max-N+. An honest comparison of those would be great.
*I mounted on my kayak and so far I am super impressed>>>**allabout.wiki/h960** I wanted the sidescan feature but didn’t have room to add another transducer. This package fit the bill. The sidescan has helped me locate fish under docks and has proved to be a real game changer. The auto tuning helps take all the guess work out so I can spend more time fishing.*
Do they have saltwater too? I like in SW Florida and do a lot of flats fishing as well as freshwater
