Van Life – Exploring Mississippi Swamps, Hiking Tuxachanie Trail, Mississippi Coastline

Check out my website for a complete list of parts i used to set up my van https://campervan-conversion.com/

Campervan Cory – Day 4 on my Florida to California road trip in a camper van was pretty good got lost searching for the Tuxachanie trail and exploring the swamps of Mississippi. Wound up on the coast line of Mississippi at Bay St. Louis – Waveland beach/coastline. Wound up taking a semi shower in the parking lot of lowes on the side of my camper van lol. Tomorrow i will head to the pier to do some fishing and ty to catch some blue crabs.

Where are you? Nothing new in a couple of days. We worry when you leave us hanging. Be safe!

  5. Scott Knepp on December 21, 2020 at 9:17 pm

Have you had to do any reinforcement to the a/c unit since installing it? Such as bumps and humps cruising down the road or off road? Looking to install a unit in one of my van windows.
    Thanks in advance!
    I like your set up.

One of the most common ways of retiring the American flag is to burn it in a respectful way. The pit you showed looked like a fire pit with some metal things to help hold the flag open.

  12. Simple Life on December 21, 2020 at 9:24 pm

Texas will take a good two to two and a half days,to drive through

My wildest journey was in Topeka Kansas. I went to college at Washburn University. I lived on Gage street. Every day that I went to school..I saw so much hate. Look up Westboro Baptist church. So much hate. But the most beautiful thing was when the asshole that was in charge…boycotted a Marine"s funeral. A cycle roar!

  18. Joe Septa on December 21, 2020 at 9:31 pm

I hope Rocco has a flea and tick collar from running around those woods. You seem to be in a good spot. To conserve cash think about spending a few nights. You may catch some meals.

  19. Donald Smith on December 21, 2020 at 9:32 pm

Okay Cory.. does the Ramen Noodles count for one of your cooking series? 🙂 That pier in Mississippi looks like a nice place to fish. I hope you catch some good stuff.. Maybe you can show us how you cook up the seafood you catch! Have a great day!

Great Video !Next time you go into the public bathroom take you a small cup, and get some of the soap or use dish soap. Thanks for keeping it real!

  21. Ziggy Moon on December 21, 2020 at 9:34 pm

Cory, many of the Wal-Marts have free WIFI now. Might wanna get them a try before Lowes, because at least at Wal-Mart, you’d have Bathrooms, etc. during the night.

  22. hunter6719 on December 21, 2020 at 9:35 pm

No soap no problem just roll around on the grass.. just watch out for poo.

    COPIED FROM HIS FB PAGE

Hey everyone i am safe and sound i had a few problems on the road and had to head back to Florida unfortunately 😞. Getting it all taken care of and already planning another road trip within the next week or so. Sorry to worry everyone and thank you for everyones concern. All in all it was an amazing experience and i seen 3 new states and learned a whole lot about myself and the van life. I will be posting a video to youtube today explaining what happend and explaining my future travel plans. Bummed i didnt make it to Cali but it was a great first trial run in the van. Getting my ducks back in a row and gonna hit the road again asap! Love you all!

id of stayed there 2 days free camping probably wouldnt of seen anyone. instead you wasted fuel. would of been nice there at night with a small campfire and some smoke n beer!

  28. JoAnna Fountain on December 21, 2020 at 9:40 pm

I love how you show the reality of living this way. Not everyone has retirement or savings or even credit cards in this economy. You do what you have to do. Seriously loving watching your new life unfold!

  29. Thomas Shomo on December 21, 2020 at 9:40 pm

Dope. Should definitely walk around New Orleans for a day when you get there.

  30. Mariea Larson on December 21, 2020 at 9:45 pm

where you be at now buddy??

  31. scott O'brien on December 21, 2020 at 9:46 pm

Cory! I’ve gotten to know you and love you. Are you ok? It’s been 6 days and nothing from you. I don’t think that you are the type to keep everyone in the dark. Even if your van broke down..you would seek the nearest WIFI and protect Rosco, I think there is something very wrong.

  32. toddster772008 on December 21, 2020 at 9:47 pm

  33. Hope's Vegan RV Travels on December 21, 2020 at 9:47 pm

Check out the sports shops in the camping gear section. You can find a battery operated shower that you just put in a bucket of water. Can attach it to the side of your van with a suction cup attachment.

  34. Joe HD on December 21, 2020 at 9:50 pm

Ol Rocco taking a bath. That dog cracks me up.

  35. TheTexasTodd on December 21, 2020 at 9:51 pm

Stop off in the Big Ben area of Texas… Also check out garner state park.

  36. Keris Eure on December 21, 2020 at 9:52 pm

I didn’t wanna say anything discouraging because you might have found something I never knew about… but the only way I know of to get into the swampy parts of that area is by boat. Mississippi is very backward still! Nobody down there hikes. But they do fish! Also, when you look at things on Google maps, switch to satellite view and you can see what the trails look like. most of what you’re calling swamp is just marsh. REAL swamps start in Louisiana!

  37. Jane Diaz on December 21, 2020 at 9:53 pm

Hope you start posting again, I really have enjoyed all the ones that I’ve seen so far!! Beautiful voice to In your video where you were singing… I’m a Mississippi girl so I Love seeing this one.. Safe travels and God bless you! 🐾❤🐾

  38. A Few Minutes With jman on December 21, 2020 at 9:55 pm

Rocko was rollin around trying to get the stank off from that marsh. If you are in no hurry sit and enjoy yourself till the check comes in. Best of luck with the fishing. ~jman

Cool channel, like your adventures so far. How bout a update on how the trips going

  46. Alex Tucker on December 21, 2020 at 10:05 pm

That pier was awesome. That American Flag Retirement pit is used to retire US Flags that are worn, tattered, dirty, etc. Usually a Boy Scout Troop or one of the Veteran’s Groups (i.e., American Legion) will give the flag a proper send off. I used to do it in Guam.

  47. Sissy on December 21, 2020 at 10:05 pm

Great video, thanks for sharing.  Love the Mississippi coast.  Great on bananas and apples, make you feel better quick.
