Ahhh.. a simpler time when Scout was still with us. I wonder if (for Joe) this time, the chase was more fun and exciting than before he really made it?

Walmart gear is good in a pinch, when I first started reenacting, years ago. I bought some of their tents, including equipment; I found that over time their equipment doesn’t hold up, like my flat back canvas wedge tent does. I bought the same tent, in the video about four years, ago. It was a pain to set up, but it did offer lots of room. I had to be careful with the poles, so they didn’t break and it did end up with holes, in it.

I know it may go against popular belief but Walmart can have some not garbage products. Pick carefully, but honestly a good start into camping I would say.

survival in the wilderness is very important…BUT NOT AS IMPORTANT AS SURVIVING ETERNALLY THROUGH THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST WHO DIED FOR OUR SINS AND WAS BURIED AND ON THE THIRD DAY HE WAS RAISED FROM THE DEAD IN THE FLESH AND SEEN OF OVER 500 EYEWITNESSES AT ONCE …AND THIS SAME RISEN SAVIOR COMMANDS EVERYONE EVERYWHERE TO REPENT AND BE BORN AGAIN TO ESCAPE THE FIRES OF HELL…JESUS CHRIST IS COMING BACK IN FLAMING FIRE TAKING VENGEANCE ON THOSE THAT KNOW NOT GOD……..MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR LOVED ONES FOREVER IN CHRIST JESUS

  29. james chitwood jr on December 5, 2019 at 7:58 pm

They are water proof but don’t over exceed the internal volume or younger condensation and a lot of it lol found that out with a pup tent LMAO a four man is probably best for one person in the rain

  30. Joe Robinet on December 5, 2019 at 7:58 pm

Sorry for the delay…new computer, ect.
I hope the length is ok…judging from most comments, people were not happy with the last trip being split into a series, so this time I made it all into one long video.
    Hope you guys enjoy,
Let me know what you think of the Walmart gear.
    Thanks!

always hold on the big end when your are using the saw, #ProTip

  41. Brook Eggleston on December 5, 2019 at 8:08 pm

You were barely warm enough because you didn’t *layer down* Joe! You have to get that jacket and over shirt off, and let your sleeping bag do it’s job! Zip your jacket and pull it over the bottom of your bag to give your feet extra warmth. Try it; it works!!

  42. Brook Eggleston on December 5, 2019 at 8:09 pm

I’m an hour and a half in, and I’m wondering when he’s going to remember to put the fly up!
Ha! I stopped at 1.36, and he’s putting the fly up at 1.37!!

  47. Some Dude on December 5, 2019 at 8:19 pm

There’s no need spending that much money to go camping. Go to garage sales and buy used gear. Make your own gear. $500 today is $250 dollars in 1990 and $73 in 1970. The primary issue with Coleman stoves are merely the leather cup in the pump mechanism is dry and needs to be reoiled.
